Oak Valley

The Oak Valley Health Clinic was established in 1985 when a few of the old people from Yalata decided that they wanted to return to country. Originally the clinic was a caravan at the edge of a campsite. The nurse lived and worked out of the van. There were no infrastructures and only minimal services available.

RFDS played a significant role in providing GP clinics on a monthly basis. From that, Oak Valley now has grown into a community that has infrastructure and a new clinic.
